combined with totally new techniques developed by digital artist Mary Ann
Rolfe to create exciting new art forms and
projects in a wide variety of media. The techniques you will learn were
developed over several years by Mary Ann as she experimented to find new
ways to add interest and excitement to her own digital designs. She'll share
these new techniques along with combinations from other disciplines applied
to the digital print world.
During these busy workshop days you will learn
these processes. Rather
than focusing on a step by step approach to complete specific projects,
you’ll spend two days learning, testing, creating, practicing, exploring and producing.
You will be provided with techniques, resources and inspiration so you will
go home energized, motivated and equipped to create your own
projects. We'll also explore the steps necessary for you to take your own
ideas to a finished project and roadblocks that often arise.
The
workshop is suited for participants at any level of computer graphic
expertise.
Although the examples shown
utilize art created on the computer, this workshop is not just for digital
artists. Traditional artists can scan all or parts of their work into the
computer and learn new ways to present their creations.
We'll concentrate on
what to do with your photos and graphics rather than creating the graphics.
Your designs will become even
more adventurous as you are inspired to learn more graphic and
computer skills. The optional Painter Skills Day will help with that aspect
of the process.
If you have questions about what you will learn or if
this workshop is appropriate for you please contact Mary Ann by
email or phone 520-399-2133.
